Award-winning artist Mandy Collins, a spirited woman creating mesmerising tales through her expansive portfolio of abstract artwork. Based at Milestone Studios and Gallery in New Mills, a space she co-founded with her daughter in 2022, Mandy thrives in an environment that fuels her freedom to create, share ideas, encourage others, and exhibit her art.
As a multi-disciplinary artist, Mandy predominantly works with acrylics, inks, resin, and collage to craft visually stimulating, large-scale abstract pieces. Much of her work is a manifestation of memories tied to places and moments in time. Landscapes transform into swaths of colour, and waterscapes flow with an array of hues. Working primarily on timber or canvas, Mandy often employs resin to infuse depth and a contemporary look into her creations.
Nestled amidst the rugged landscape of the glorious Peak District, Mandy draws inspiration from her RAF childhood, Anglesey in Wales, Libya in Africa, and the captivating peaks that envelop her current home. As a masterful storyteller, her multimedia abstract art serves as a living canvas, resonating with echoes of diverse experiences and the raw beauty of the Peak District. Explore Mandy's portfolio to embark on a journey where personal narratives and the essence of the landscape converge, creating art that breathes with the soul of her remarkable life.
Whether you seek to adorn your space with Mandy Collins' evocative pieces, commission a bespoke creation tailored to your vision, or exhibit her compelling work in a curated space, the gateway to artistic collaboration beckons.
